Service Opportunities at Hong Kong Eye Hospital 2023-2024

Over the past 2 years, 136 Hoi Ping students were given opportunities to participate in voluntary services for the Hong Kong Eye Hospital under the two programmes run by the CUHK. 

• CUHK Jockey Club Myopia Prevention Programme (香港中文大學賽馬會瞳心童行計劃)
• CUHK ″EYE SCREEN I.CARE″ Eye Care and Visual Screening Programme (《「瞳」測 • 「瞳」行 》眼部護理及眼科篩查計劃)

Participants had a precious opportunity to learn to operate professional medical machines at the Hong Kong Eye Hospital, interact with patients, and help medical staff perform specialised tasks. These services met with overwhelming responses from our students, and many were inspired by the opportunities they were offered during the services, with some volunteering for more service opportunities after their initial experience.
