Guided Tour to Hong Kong Monetary Authority for Economics Students

On May 10th, 2023, our economics students had the opportunity to visit the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the central bank of Hong Kong. The guided tour provided an insightful look into the history of the legal tender in Hong Kong, the financial crisis that Hong Kong has been facing, and the measures that the Hong Kong Monetary Authority has adopted to sustain the economic growth of the city.

During the visit, our students also got to participate in interactive games that made the experience even more engaging. Before heading to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, we made a quick stop at the opening area outside the Exchange Square, where the Hong Kong Stock Exchange is located. Our subject teacher explained the symbolic meaning of the bull sculpture, and our students even got a chance to snap a quick photo with it.

Overall, the trip was a great success and allowed our students to broaden their understanding of the economic and financial development of Hong Kong. We hope that this experience has provided our students with a unique perspective and inspired them to continue exploring the world of economics.
